28.05.07 20:53 Age: 285 days

All of the actions undertaken for Right to Play have raised 22,150 euro. During the final match’s break (Crefelder and Terrassa), HC Bloemendaal’s chairman Quintin Dike handed over a giant check to Right to Play’s director Conrad Allablas. The money collected by HC Bloemendaal will be used for projects carried out in Pakistani refugee camps. Right to Play works to ensure that children around the world can play sports and games.

The money was raised through a variety of activities including an auction among business club WINGS and numerous actions carried out by the club’s youth teams. A portion of the ticket sales were also donated to Right to Play. On Sunday, it was announced that girls’team 6E1 had carried out the most creative action for the charity. The team had asked a number of people from Bloemendaal to paint a small picture which they combined into a large painting.

Lisette Storm, Agaath Bovelander and Floris Jan Bovelander have been the engine behind all of the Right to Play actions taking place in Bloemendaal. For the past few months, they’ve been busy guiding the efforts being made on behalf of this good cause. A total of 18 youth teams conducted fun actions in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for Right to Play.
